I am honored to have been inducted into the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society, a prestigious organization that recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement and promotes excellence in doctoral education and the professoriate. Named after Edward Alexander Bouchet, the first African American to earn a Ph.D. in the United States, the society celebrates scholars who exemplify excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, service, and advocacy while fostering a national network of academic leaders.
