I am honored to have been inducted into the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society, a prestigious organization that recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement and promotes excellence in doctoral education and the professoriate. Named after Edward Alexander Bouchet, the first African American to earn a Ph.D. in the United States, the society celebrates scholars who exemplify excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, service, and advocacy while fostering a national network of academic leaders.

Attended the Neural Control of Movement Conference in Kobe, Japan!

April 20, 2026

I recently attended the Neural Control of Movement (NCM) Conference in Kobe, Japan, where I presented research spanning both my Ph.D. work at MIT and my postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University. The NCM Conference brings together leading researchers from around the world to discuss advances in motor control, motor learning, neuroscience, biomechanics, and rehabilitation. I attended alongside fellow members of the Johns Hopkins Haptics and Medical Robotics (HAMR) Lab, Lyndall Lovell and Taliyah Huang. It was a wonderful opportunity to share my work, receive feedback from experts across disciplines, and engage with the broader motor control research community.
